Meaghan is a Toronto based photographer and began exhibiting her work upon
graduating from Sheridan College’s Applied Photography Program. Her first series,
“Nightmares“, consisted of mystifying images that reflected her personal
and chaotic life. Some viewers likened the work to film stills and graphic
novel art.
Following the “Nightmares“ series, came a dramatic but positive shift
in her work and led her to shooting underwater. The “Underwater“ series
has been well received having won the Prime Gallery People’s Choice
Award at the 2008 Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition and the Corporate Purchase
Award at the 2009 Toronto Artist Project at the Liberty Grand.
Currently, she is continuing to explore the possibilities of the underwater world.
Meaghan just recently completed her second underwater series and exhibited
the work at the 2009 Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition where her work was well received.
Meaghan is constantly seeking new challenges and is establishing herself
as a photographer in Toronto. She would also like to become involved in filmmaking
in the future.
